How to: Fade Images Together in Photoshop

i was looking for a great way to do this...the only problem is its a really fast run through of whats going on. someone unexperienced with photoshop would have no clue whats going on. maybe explain the tools, purpose and give a step by step of each action you are making at the time. aside from that...as someone who has been using photoshop forever, it was very helpful.

He has 2 images. The first one is selected witch ctrl+a and pasted over the other image with ctrl+v. Then he creates a mask on the toplayer and fills in the mask with a black to white gradient. The darker the mask gradientcolor, the more it shows of its underlying layer, creating a smooth transition effect. Just do some tutorial on masking layers in Photoshop. This is easy to learn and handy.

dude, this is so wrong. I am the real "J". This video tutorial was stolen from Metacafe and resubmitted to YouTube. I've already requested that YouTube remove this video. I'll allow you to keep my video up using the Metacafe link if you at least give me the credit. Use my Metacafe ID. It's cali80.
