Protect your precious downloads from non subscribers.

Installing our subscription module is just the first step in protecting your valuable downloads. For those not using NSN Groups, you will by now know that you need a little extra to protect your files. You could block the entire module from non subscribers but that would not give your members more incentives to subscribe.
This option lets users view the download details but block them from getting the file if they click to download and they are not a subscriber.

Files to edit:
modules/Downloads/index.php

Steps :
We will first find the function that determines who has access to what files. This specific function is named getit . Open modules/Downloads/index.php and find the following function. In some nuke versions it's different but most of the codes are the same.

We want to check if the user has paid before allowing them to get the file. Change the code to the following or add the codes between the //Paid members check by Western Studios.net ..... //END to your function getit if it's different than the one in this tutorial.

The above code change will block all non subscribers from gaining access to your files.
If you would like to allow admin to access the files then use the codes below instead. It will check if the user is admin and allow file access.
