ASP.NET is actually a great platform to code on, I think you'll find it as easy as PHP, and I don't have any hate for MS like many do.

The main problems I have with it are just:
1) All the software costs too much for small businesses
2) It doesn't have the sheer size of community and userbase that open source does, which ends up creating more choices to work with

However if you ever have a .NET question I'd be glad to chime in .
