I know it would help on piracy but wouldn't it also prevent people that may have gotten a legit copy of windows from a not so legit company. Yes and those people should hold the repair shop responsible, especially if they paid for an OS install. Threaten the jerks http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/Reporting.mspx There are a lot hard core people that think it's fun to beat the system by running a pirated OS. Those people need to come to heel! If some people who thought they were running a legit copy are caught up in the crack down, so be it. Most will want to make it right and they'll buy a legit copy.
