This is VERY interesting. You started to do a theme job for me, remember, George? We chatted about it, sent a few emails to each other. You sent me a few minor fixes, let me demo the theme on your site. But you never sent the entire set of files I required. And I even offered to pay you $50 US for your work, even tho' you didn't ask for any money. But, over the last week and a half, you have stopped answering my emails. Why is that? I sent 3 to your Verizon account, George. One was sent yesterday afternoon, Saturday. I checked my emails after work tonight at 5:00am EST Sunday. No response from you...at all. You have also continued to post here on this site over the last 1.5 weeks so it's not like you have been away or anything. So what gives? It's not like I have been hounding you, like you have said others have. I have waited 3-4 days between each of the 3 emails, waiting patiently for responses each time. I have also been respectful each time I have communicated with you. So you should tell me what the problem is. Tell you what. Let me see if I can guess. I am not a stupid guy, George. I might be a little paranoid at times but it helps to keep me safe. And I *DEFINITELY* don't put up with BS. So if I'm wrong, I will gladly and publicly admit it. I have absolutely no problem with that. But your actions so far haven't exactly helped you. If you promise something to me, then I expect you to follow thru with it. PERIOD. Especially when I have offered to pay good money for it. If I promised something to you, then it would be done. Like the $50 I promised to you for the theme work and have been trying to pass to you. But it seems the donation block on your website isn't set up properly, as I stated to you in the emails I sent. So let me try to guess. Is this coincedence or not? You tell me 'cause I really wanna know. Right after the email you sent asking for my support for your fork of PHP-Nuke, I sent back another stating I was going to stick with Raven's nuke package since I have been dealing with him for about 2 years now and I trust him. The very next email I got from you contained the apparent fixes for my theme in a RAR file. And the RAR file also happened to contain a virus which MSN picked up. Is this a coincidence, George? Please tell me it is 'cause you haven't answered any of my emails since. I even politely asked you to resend the file, didn't I? Actually, I don't think I have to wait for an answer from you. This isn't about the cash or the theme work at all, is it? This is about gaining support for your PHP-Nuke fork, right? It sure seems that way to me since you always answered my emails promptly before I turned down your offer. Again, if I'm wrong, then I apologize for it...right here and right now. I actually hope that I am wrong. But, somehow, I don't think I am. I still don't have the theme fixes you promised me, do I? You know...the ones I offered to pay for. Now the onus is on you. I am trying to get 4 domains up and running as well as keep making graphics for the site here for my good friends in the community. So here it goes I am truly sorry and wish to ask for forgiveness from the few folks i have made wait your friend, strik9 Posted: Sun Jun 25, 2006 6:37 pm

BS, George! You dug your own grave here. You made promises and never followed thru with them. And not just to me. All this to drum up support for your fork. It seems to me you never had any intention of following thru unless I did support you. I have been lied to, stolen from, cheated, and ignored from others connected to PHP-Nuke and I don't put up with the bullshit anymore. YOU made me a promise and never delievered. YOU sent me a virus after I politely declined your invitation to join in your PHP-Nuke fork. YOU ignored my emails and didn't respond to me until I posted publicly. YOU were still taking on jobs in public, while ignoring the one(s) you have already started. So was I just supposed to sit back and take it? I don't thinks so! I don't really care if you had other projects on the go. The whole point is YOU made a promise to me and when things didn't go your way, you decided to bolt. At all times I was polite and respectful to you. And what did I get? A couple of teaser files and a virus. All it would've taken was a simple return email stating you were busy but you didn't even want to take the time for that. How much time does it take to rezip a file and resend? 2 minutes? So you tell me, George, am I wrong? So ahead and leave. If you're so tired of the people of this site whining about what you are doing, stop making promises that you have no intentions of following thru on. And think about it: if there are others who are whining too and not just me, then I'm pretty sure the problem *IS* you, not me or the others. So get lost. Terry Posted: Mon Jun 26, 2006 9:05 pm

CanPanther wrote: Sorry. I would appreciate it if Mark would split this topic off into another forum. But before it is, I should answer your question. So it being voluntary work makes it ok to break promises, send a virus, ignore emails? Would that be ok with you? Terry Posted: Tue Jun 27, 2006 12:19 am
