Hi,

Sorry I'm a real newbie when it comes to PhpNuke.

I installed WS Subscripton on Phpnuke 7.6, activated it and then went to the module. It loaded the "forums".

My questions:

1) How can I change it from subscriptions to the forum to subscriptions to a module I created? (My module is just a form which collects information to send out a custom horoscope).

2) Is there an "admin" portion so I can edit the Paypal information?

Don't understand. I thought this module allows you to offer paid subscription via Paypal to your Nuke site (giving access to a module/area for the subscribers - an disallowing access to non-subscribers).

Am I correct???

Oy vey, I need beer! Smile

Thanks in advance

hi, I think something went wrong during the installation. It should not go to the forums. The module works exactly as you thought. It should offer a way for people to pay through paypal then be allowed to view modules that are meant for only subscribers.
It also has it's own admin page where you setup paypal and the subscription plans.
Which version of the module did you install and could you write the install steps that you did.

Could you also post a link to your site with the module installed or send a pm to me with the link if you do not want it shown inside the forums.

Hi,

Here are the details...

I have Version:-1.0.2 (as it states in the "readme" file). I unzipped the files and re-uploaded incase it got corrupt along the way.

The only files in the zip were:

- modules (WS_Subscribers) containing "language folder", "copyright.php", index.html, and index.php and
- themes folder with (Your_THEME), forums folder and the ws_subscriber file.

Are there files missing in my zip? Once I uploaded to the modules section, added the "ws_subcriber" file to the forums, and activated module with only Admin access, there was no "Admin" link (like say CCart has) or anything.

I would click in the "Modules" section on the "WS_Subscriber" link and it would take me to the "forums" section.

Please help.
Thanks,
Lara

Embarrassing! I downloaded from your site the "regular" WS_Subscriber, not the "WS_Subscribtion_Lite". Now all is working ok so far!

Duh! Embarassed

Ok, how does someone "pay" to join the site using WS Subscription Lite?

What I see on my site is the Link to the subscription area "WS_Subscription" which when clicked gives this description (I figured out that I can edit this in the language file, I'm starting to learn Wink )

Quote:
Subscription Details

Thanks for your interest in our subscription plans. To ensure that our website continues to provide such great services, we kindly ask our members to subscribe and support our further development.

Subscribers will gain access to protected pages and downloads. As a subscriber you will also get the latest news and support that other members will not have access to.

Then I click on the "Subscript Plan" which leads me to the page that says "SubPlans" and the name, description and price of the plan.

But there is no "buy" button or link. Only a "Log In" button, which re-routes to the Your Account Folder.

Sorry to be so inquisitive, but how do they pay to join? I configured the Paypal email address and everything else.

When I log out as admin, I cannot access the modules I set to "Subscribe". (It tells me that I must subscribe).

Thanks for "enlightening me".
