HTML Editor - My choice, and I have used it for years is Namo. I like the WYSIWYD style, which makes things so much easier. Text Editor - For php, css, and other strange file types like tpl. My choice is Ultra Edit. Incredibly flexible and never adds any extra code. Graphics tools - Two programs I would not be without here, Photoshop, for general manipulation, and Web Graphics Optimizer Pro, for reducing the size of the image (in bytes) without too harsh a loss in quality. Though lately I have also been playing with CaptureNX for image manipulation and enhancement. Great and fast tool. FTP Client - For years I had used WS FTP Pro, but recently found a few problems with some of the stuff I was doing and switched to FlashFXP, to which I am now addicted. Excellent client. Statistical Tool - I like knowing as much as I possibly can about the rtaffic to my sites, where it comes from, where it goes, and how long it spends there. A great little tool, that is available as a free script I have found is BBClone. Takes a bit to get it configured and set up, but produces excellent reports on all aspects of traffic. There was some other class of tool that I was going to mention, but forgot what it was.... so what do others use? Posted: Fri Mar 23, 2007 11:30 pm
