In the error, the query is looking for a user_name row but that actually does not exist. Nuke uses username without the underscore. Could you post the exact link to where you got that error?

OK, I've made the change that is needed with the Chatserv patch. I now get 2 error scripts:

1. "Above the top of the page"
about 2 or 3 lines of whiteness, sort of pushing the rest of the page down a few lines.

2. Then in the module block itself, above the 4images block:
Code:
DB Error: Bad SQL Query: SELECT i.image_id, i.cat_id, i.user_id, i.image_name, i.image_description, i.image_keywords, i.image_date, i.image_active, i.image_media_file, i.image_thumb_file, i.image_download_url, i.image_allow_comments, i.image_comments, i.image_downloads, i.image_votes, i.image_rating, i.image_hits, c.cat_name, u.user_name FROM 4images_images i, 4images_categories c LEFT JOIN nuke_users u ON (u.user_id = i.user_id) WHERE i.image_active = 1 AND c.cat_id = i.cat_id AND i.cat_id NOT IN (0, 1) ORDER BY i.image_date DESC LIMIT 3
Unknown column 'u.user_name' in 'field list'

Also quite worryingly, when the module opens, it starts with the "standard" 4images log-in screen. It's not integrating the user details from phpNuke.

Any idea how these problems can be solved?

Thanks

Martin

hi Martin

This post has exactly the same problem. Did you install 4images in the same database as your phpnuke? Both should reside in the same database.

Sorry, my fault - overwriting all the files meant that some of the files that needed "hacking" were also overwritten.

Anyway, I now get a logged on response from 4images when in "user mode". The interface recognises me as the user, however thre are still 2 problems:

1. Something that 4images has against the theme - for some reason, it seems to insert a few blank white lines above the top of the page, effectively forcing the rest of the page down. Very strange.

2. There is still the following error in the module block:
Code:
DB Error: Bad SQL Query: SELECT i.image_id, i.cat_id, i.user_id, i.image_name, i.image_description, i.image_keywords, i.image_date, i.image_active, i.image_media_file, i.image_thumb_file, i.image_download_url, i.image_allow_comments, i.image_comments, i.image_downloads, i.image_votes, i.image_rating, i.image_hits, c.cat_name, u.username FROM 4images_images i, 4images_categories c LEFT JOIN nuke_users u ON (u.user_id = i.user_id) WHERE i.image_active = 1 AND c.cat_id = i.cat_id AND i.cat_id NOT IN (0) ORDER BY i.image_date DESC LIMIT 3
Unknown column 'i.user_id' in 'on clause'

Yes the database IS the same! (see my comments about having forgotten to "hack into" the database after my previously hacked files were overwritten)

I hope that this narrows down where the problem is, and I look forward to the next suggestion.

By the way, clicking on Control Panel from within the 4images module, results in a perfect rendition of the Admin panel. So that bit is now sorted out.

Thanks

Martin
