Hello there websiteportals aka Steve aka pheonixcms aka whatever else.
Just a couple of questions regarding for post as I'm curious........
Quote:
i had many chats via phone or email with chatserv and his asked me for help with patched

Are you saying Chatserv asked YOU to help develop the patched series and you phnoned him long-distance?

Quote:
chatserv has gone back full time into work again and will not have much time for patches i been asked to start the 4.x branch and also 3.2 code changes for anyone who has modded there site

Please correct me if I am wrong but I thought the 3.2 patches were being developed by Evaders99 as he has been working with Chatserv for some considerable time.

Quote:
i was working for fb 8.0x branch but when i reliesed what he wanted and he was paying so liitle to make fully fledged forums like phpbb, memberslist, pm modules etc for $6k

You mentioned this on another forum but never provided evidence as FB works alone.
Likewise the monetory figure you are now quoting is very different from what you have posted elsewhere.

This is not a personal attack on you, I am just curious as to why you state one thing in one forum and then something completely different in another.

I've been using nuke for over a year now and regardless what version I use I always end up hacked and frustrated. Been looking at a few other packages to make my site more secure but it seems time for a change for me.

first off mr burzi does not work alone and has not for some time now, yes in the start of nuke upto 6.0 he was alone and was developed by the community.

i was hired by fb for starters to make him an forum, memberslist and pm module.

which is now complete and will either be released with 8.0 or some where along the 8.x as he may decide to enter in the club first.

there good reason which i like about the new forum

the only remaining bugs will be nuke.

and once the 8.0 is released i will be working more so with the developer to get these fixed.

and i already started myself but i dont plan to use them just yet until they been tested on live site which i doing right now.

and the next task is first off using a better database layer as this will allow more support over more server setups. possibly using pear:DB or adodbc (full or lite )

also better group system, smile admincp, better points system with more options.

also one major thing that i just starting to do is a template engine based on phplib and smarty.

so many functions are now called at compile time reducing server load.
and also removed the risk of exploits.

the 8.x nuke we will start to break code.

and with chatserv his going to support another cms, his been thinking about this for sometime now, there been rival with fb and chatserv for sometime now.
and fb does not seem to appy his fixes becuase his thinks his fixes are better.

and once i got my personal work done this month, i be starting patch packs starting next month, alot of the code fixes are what i already done to 8.0

and main feature w3c validation becuase there lots of security been fixed there also.

also at nukecops i releasing a new security system. as we are developing nukecops buddle off the 8.0

if you have any more questions please feel free to post them i cant post right away becuase of my busy life

but i will get to you

Steve
